Almotion developed a 3-axis linear XYZ system

Linear XYZ systems for a customer.

Almotion the only Dutch producer developed a number of 3-axis linear setups (XYZ systems) for a customer. After a complete force analysis and the desire for a compact construction, we used the following setup:

  • The X-axis consists of two LT2-TR-C8R-D10 open linear units. They are connected to each other by a coupling shaft with Rotex couplings.
  • The Y-axis consists of a driven LT2-TR-C8R-D10 and a "dummy" LT2-P-C8R-D10. A special carriage that connects both axes and provides the mounting possibility of the Z-axis
  • The Z-axis consists of an LTZ-TR-S15D

 

 

 

 

 

The wheels used in this setup are all of a heavier type the "R-version".
 

Purpose

The system is intended for a case packer. A case packer is a setup that puts products in a package. Think of, for example, putting products in a box or in a crate. Then the packaging is closed and transported further to prepare for shipment.

General

Multi-axis systems are used in many places in production processes. It is available as, for example, XZ or XY system (2-axis) or XYZ system. Of course, there are many variations possible. This is usually custom work tailored to your application. Almotion specializes in this and works with standard linear units that we have designed and developed ourselves. Of course, we can also develop a completely new system for you.
The advantage of adapting our standard units is that the price tag remains attractive. Another advantage is that we can deliver quickly because the parts are in stock.
