Two linear units next to each other as brothers
07 December 2021Last week we delivered 2 long linear units that run parallel to each other to a customer in vegetable growing. The challenge with this linear unit was to spray water over a large area. We made this possible by running the units coupled in parallel using a coupling shaft. The machine is used for spraying crops.
The linear units are no less than 7 meters long. The area to be sprayed is 8 by 3 meters. To keep the 2 LTC units running smoothly, 2 Rotex couplings GS24 and a special tube with a diameter of -30- are inserted between the toothed pulleys.
Special carriage and strong toothed belt
By placing a special carriage, the toothed belt runs on top of the profile. As a result, it can not hang under the unit. The strong 16AT10 timing belt has the power to move the loads. If the toothed belt were to run at the bottom of the profile, it could hang up to half a meter. This is not optically desirable.
For this reason, a carriage has been built with a bypass driver. This ensures that the suspension point for the nozzle is at the bottom and the toothed belt runs on top of the profile.
Furthermore, corrosion resistance has been taken into account due to the high humidity. We have therefore mounted a stainless steel impeller guide type C45.
Linear units LTC
