Extreme long unit!

We have built an extreme long unit! The length of this linear unit is 42 meters! Our client active in motion and control wanted a solution for a linear unit with a toothed belt drive and a length of 42 meters. The customer needed this length of linear unit for calibrating sensors. Until now, there were no linear units on the market with these specific of requirements.

Linear units or linear guides are generally made with a maximum length of six meters. To achieve a length of 42 meters is therefore quite unique.

With the LtC, our modular linear unit, we have manages to achieve a length of 42 meters. There were some challenges which needed to be tackled. With a length of 42 meters, the biggest challenge was the stability of the toothed belt. The toothed belt could hang. This problem is solved because the toothed belt is now received by an aluminium bin. This prevent sagging of the toothed belt.

The modular unit is equipped with a guidewheel and toothed belt driven. The toothed belt type is 16AT10 PAZ / PAR. The toothed belt has a special textile coat.
