Wave movements
19 Augustus 2019TU Delft studies wave movements in water. The wave movements are made with the help of our linear unit.
TU Delft is investigating wave moments in water. Wave movements are simulated in a glass tank by using the LT50-TR-G8 linear unit from Almotion. The “wave maker” is mounted on an extended carriage which is specially made for this purpose.
The video shows how the linear unit makes the wave motion.
LT50-TR-G8
The linear unit LT50-TR-G8 is a guide system of hardened wheels on hardened shafts or rail guide. This linear unit is very compact, with a profile width of 50 mm. This unit can be used in a “dirty” environment.
